Apple will make its iPad in Europe open to developers this fall, as required by the recent EU Digital Markets Act. Furthermore, it is significantly changing its Core Technology Fee. This ensures users who install the same app on both iOS and iPadOS will only generate one initial annual fee. Over 99% of developers will not face any CTF fee, and small developers earning less than €10 million per year are provided a three-year free route to the CTF, thereby supporting business growth.
