CATL, a leading provider of EV battery packs, unveiled a new technology at the Beijing auto show that could offer up to 621-miles of range on a single charge. The Shenxing Plus EV battery uses a proprietary honeycomb material to achieve superior energy density. A 10-minute super-fast charge could add approximately 373-miles of range. While details remain scant on when this technology will be incorporated into production vehicles, Tesla could potentially be a benefactor considering CATL supplies to the firm and its chairman, Robin Zeng, recently met with Elon Musk.
