Amazon has announced a new policy, starting September 1, requiring international ad-supported streaming video services on Fire TV to opt into their ad publishing service or give up a portion of their ad revenue.

Formerly Twitter, the social media platform 'X' now sports an updated app on Apple's App Store, reflecting owner Elon Musk's rebranding. The new look aligns with Musk's vision of making 'X' an 'everything app', similar to China's WeChat.

General Motors' Cruise is scaling its autonomous rideshare services in Austin, Texas, accepting new customers from its waitlist. The move is part of Austin's growing focus on autonomous vehicles, with Waymo and others conducting tests. However, concerns regarding safety and disruptions remain among local residents.

Mobile startup Airalo, leveraging eSIM technology to offer a wide variety of low-cost international mobile data packages, raised $60 million in a Series B round. The funding will fuel business expansion as travel resumes post-COVID.

South Korean fintech startup, Finda, has secured $37 million in Series C funding, led by JB Financial Group and 500 Global, to enhance its loan comparison platform and launch new services.

GlossGenius, a platform facilitating bookings and payments for beauty businesses, has raised $28 million in a Series C round, planning to develop additional products for the beauty and wellness sectors.

Cyble, an Atlanta-based cybersecurity startup, has garnered $24 million in Series B funding for its AI-driven threat intelligence platform, led by Blackbird Ventures and King River Capital.

Google has released Robotic Transformer (RT-2), an AI learning model, to augment the cognitive abilities of its robots. RT-2, leveraging the advances of large language models like Google's Bard, uses visual-language-action (VLA) patterns to interpret instructions and make more refined decisions. Trials conducted in a kitchen office setting showcased RT-2's proficiency in recognizing objects and choosing suitable actions.

Intel's CEO emphasized that AI will be built into every platform the company creates, indicating a shift towards localized, client-centered AI solutions. He argued that cloud-based AI isn't feasible for real-time applications and efficient use cases due to latency and cost issues.

New Relic, a software performance tracking company, will be taken private in a $6.5 billion all-cash deal by Francisco Partners and TPG. This move comes after the successful securing of debt financing that met New Relic's valuation requirements. Major stakeholders have approved the arrangement.

Walmart has spent $1.4 billion to purchase Tiger Global's remaining shares in Indian e-commerce startup, Flipkart. This deal increases Walmart's stake and values Flipkart at $35 billion. Flipkart continues to seek further funding despite a recent valuation drop.

US stocks ended July on a high note, driven by better-than-expected inflation rates and a strong earnings season. The Dow Jones, Nasdaq Composite, and S&P 500 all posted gains, marking the fifth consecutive monthly advance for the latter two.

Microsoft has made a new case to the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) for the reconsideration of its blocked Activision Blizzard acquisition, citing its cloud gaming agreements and commitments.

Apple may release a second iteration of the Apple Watch Ultra with a darker titanium finish and a faster processor, despite initial design objections last year, as per Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

Apple has acknowledged a bug in its Screen Time parental controls on iPhone and iPad that causes settings to reset or fail to sync, promising to address these issues, as The Wall Street Journal reported.
